Who We Are
Washington Trade Daily’s staff of three represent over half a century of reporting experience in international trade and policy issues.
The team of Jim and Mary Berger has worked on Washington issues for several years. Since receiving his master’s degree in international public administration at American University, Jim has lived and worked in Washington – on Capitol Hill, with Congressional Quarterly research and the Bureau of National Affairs. He started WTD in 1988.
Mary Berger – an English major from Goucher College – also has intensive writing and editing experience in international trade and taxes. She was senior tax reporter and editor at the Bureau of National Affairs in Washington.
Devarakonda Ravi Kanth – WTD’s Geneva-based editor – has extensive experience in covering trade from India and Geneva. He has worked with WTD in Geneva since 2000. Ravi has both a master’s degree in international studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University and a post-graduate diploma in journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communications.
